1. Purpose and acceptance

These Terms of Service govern the use of the Build Molecules mobile app and the buildmolecules.com website (together, the "Service").

These Terms apply to the following app:

• Build Molecules — com.buildmolecules

By downloading, installing or using the Service you accept these Terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use the Service.

3. Minimum age

The Service is intended for users aged 14 or over.

If you are under 14, you may not use the Service.

If you are between 14 and 17 years old, you declare that you have the authorisation of your parents or legal guardians where required under applicable law.

Parents or legal guardians are responsible for supervising the use of the Service by the minors in their care, under the terms established by applicable law.

4. Your progress

The app does not require an account. Your progress (molecules created, level, experience and other game data) is stored only on your device.

If you uninstall the app, clear its data or change device, your progress may be lost and we cannot recover it.

5. Virtual content

In the game you can obtain virtual content, such as atoms, experience, energy, unlocked elements, mentors or campus upgrades. Regarding this content:

• It can only be used within the app and has no real monetary value.
• It cannot be exchanged for money, goods or services, nor sold or transferred outside the app.
• We may adjust, rebalance or withdraw it to keep the game balanced.

The app does not currently offer purchases with real money. If they are offered in the future, their price and conditions will be shown before purchase.

6. Educational content

Information about elements and molecules is provided for educational purposes. We try to keep it accurate, but it may contain simplifications or errors.

It does not replace academic training or professional advice, and must not be used to carry out experiments or handle real substances.

7. Achievements, streaks and rewards

Achievements, levels, streaks and rewards are game features. In particular:

• Achievements and trophies do not guarantee any monetary prizes.
• Rewards are virtual.
• Rewards may be subject to availability and to specific conditions.
• There is no obligation to deliver rewards outside the app.

8. Advertising

The Service is free and funded by advertising shown by third-party providers such as Google AdMob.

Some ads are optional and offer an in-game reward. The reward is only given if the ad is completed and depends on the provider having ads available.

The processing of data related to advertising is described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Rules of use

When using the Service you agree not to:

• Modify, decompile or reverse engineer the app, except as permitted by law.
• Use cheats, automation programs or unauthorised software, or circumvent the advertising or features of the Service.
• Interfere with the operation of the Service or the website.
• Use the Service for unlawful purposes or in ways that harm others.

10. Intellectual property

The Build Molecules app, the website and all their content (code, graphics, text, names and trademarks) belong to their owner or its licensors and are protected by law. These Terms do not transfer any rights over them to you beyond the personal, non-commercial use of the Service.

11. Availability and changes to the Service

We work to keep the Service running properly, but we cannot guarantee that it will be available without interruption or errors. We may add, change or remove features or content.

12. Liability

The Service is provided free of charge. To the extent permitted by law, the owner shall not be liable for the loss of data stored on your device or for indirect damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the Service.

Nothing in these Terms limits the rights granted to you by applicable consumer protection law, nor excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, such as in cases of wilful misconduct or gross negligence.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the Service or in the law. We will publish the new version on this page with its date. If you continue to use the Service after it takes effect, you will be deemed to accept it.

14. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you may bring any claim before the courts of your place of residence and you will keep the protection granted by the mandatory rules of your country of residence.
